Dacor OB36

Model # OB36

Dacor outdoor grills repair

The OB36 is Dacor’s 36-inch built-in gas grill from the discontinued Epicure/Heritage outdoor line, built around three U-shaped burners at 20,000 BTU each plus an infrared rotisserie burner, and sold in separate liquid propane (OB36/LP) and natural gas (OB36/NG) versions — including the OB36/LP/H and OB36/NG/H variants listed alongside it in parts documentation. The fuel type is set at the factory and is not something we convert in the field.

Most calls on an OB36 split between the main burners — a clicking igniter with no flame, or a flame that has gone weak and yellow on one burner while the rest stay blue — and the rotisserie system, which runs on its own motor and burner circuit and can fail without affecting the main grill at all. Because Dacor no longer supports this line, we confirm the exact variant and fuel type from the rating plate before ordering an igniter, burner or motor.

FAQ

Dacor OB36 FAQ

No. Dacor discontinued its outdoor grill line, and the OB36 is a legacy Epicure/Heritage-era unit. We still service it, and most replacement parts are available through appliance parts specialists.

No. The orifices and regulator are sized for one fuel type at the factory, and converting between liquid propane and natural gas is not a field modification we make on this grill.
