Dacor OBS36

Model # OBS36

Dacor outdoor grills repair

The OBS36 is the sear-burner version of Dacor’s 36-inch built-in gas grill from the discontinued Epicure/Heritage line: two U-shaped main burners and a dedicated infrared sear burner, each rated 20,000 BTU, plus a 13,000 BTU infrared rotisserie burner. It was sold in liquid propane (OBS36/LP) and natural gas (OBS36/NG) versions, including the OBS36/LP/H and OBS36/NG/H variants.

The infrared sear burner runs on its own valve and igniter, separate from the two main burners, so a sear burner that will not heat — or heats noticeably lower than the rest of the grate — is typically an isolated valve or igniter problem rather than something affecting the whole cooktop. As on the other OB and OBS grills, the rotisserie motor and burner are their own circuit as well.

FAQ

Dacor OBS36 FAQ

The OBS36 adds a dedicated infrared sear burner alongside two main U-shaped burners, where the standard OB36 uses three main burners and no sear burner.

No — the sear burner has its own valve and igniter, so a weak or failed sear burner is generally an isolated repair rather than a sign the main burners are affected.
