The OBS52 is the sear-burner version of Dacor’s 52-inch built-in gas grill: two U-shaped main burners and a dedicated infrared sear burner at 20,000 BTU each, a 13,000 BTU infrared ceramic rotisserie burner, and two side burners, for 109,000 BTU total. It was sold in liquid propane (OBS52/LP) and natural gas (OBS52/NG) versions, on the same discontinued Epicure/Heritage platform as the rest of Dacor’s outdoor line.
With five cooking burners plus the rotisserie sharing one large manifold, we treat each burner as its own circuit when troubleshooting — a sear burner running cool while the main burners work fine points at that burner’s own valve or igniter, not the manifold, while every burner running weak at once points at the regulator or gas supply. The rotisserie motor and the smoker tray drain are the other common wear points on a grill this size after years outside.
