What C0 Means
C0 on a Dacor induction cooktop means the top sensor, the temperature sensor pressed against the underside of the glass, reads open. The DTI30M977BB and DTI36M977BB manuals list it that way; the cooktop section of the DOP30T940IS induction range uses C0 for the same sensor reading open or shorted.
Common Causes of C0
- Glass-top sensor under one cooking zone failed
- Sensor lead disconnected from the induction board
- Induction board input for that sensor
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the cooktop off and restart it. If C0 returns, unplug it or switch off its breaker for 30 seconds or more and reconnect, as Dacor instructs. If it still shows, contact service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The sensor sits under the glass on the induction coil; the glass top has to be lifted, and the induction boards store energy in their capacitors.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
