What F1 Means
F1 on the DTI induction cooktops means the control could not communicate with its EEPROM, the memory chip that stores settings and calibration. The cooktop will not run normally without it.
Common Causes of F1
- EEPROM or main board failure
- Corruption after a power disturbance
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Restart with POWER; if it continues, disconnect power for more than 30 seconds and restart. Contact service if F1 persists.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Memory failures are fixed by replacing the board; there is no field reprogramming.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
