What UP Means
UP on a Dacor induction cooktop means the supply voltage is too high or too low. Dacor’s manual asks for the power connection to be checked and gives the working range as 208 to 240 volts.
Common Causes of UP
- House supply outside the 208 to 240 volt range
- Loose connection at the junction box or breaker
- Shared circuit or undersized wiring
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check whether other large appliances or lights flicker when the cooktop is on. Make sure the breaker is fully on. Voltage measurement at the junction box is a job for an electrician.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Checking the 240-volt connection is electrical work; a loose connection can overheat.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
