What F8 Means
On the cooktop of the Dacor DOP30T940IS induction range, F8 means communication between the induction main board and the left inverter board was interrupted. The left-side zones depend on that inverter.
Common Causes of F8
- Cable between main board and left inverter
- Left inverter board failure
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the power off, then back on to the setting you want. If the code persists, disconnect the range for at least 30 seconds and reconnect. Call for service if F8 returns.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Inverter boards carry high current and are reached by lifting the range’s glass cooktop.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
