What C41 Means
C41 is a self-check inside the control. Dacor’s service guide describes it as a safety check that makes sure the RTD oven temperature readings are correct; when the reference inputs used for that check drift, the control flags C41.
Common Causes of C41
- Control board analog reference circuit failing
- Oven sensor wiring picking up interference or a partial short
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
A breaker reset is the only owner step. If C41 returns, the oven should be looked at before further use because the control doubts its temperature measurement.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- This is a board-level measurement problem that needs a meter on the sensor circuit and the board.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
