What F5 Means
F5 on a classic Dacor ERC is a self-diagnostic failure of the ERC itself. Dacor’s Tec-Line guidance is short: replace the ERC.
Common Causes of F5
- ERC control board failure
- Power disturbance affecting the ERC
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
A breaker reset is worth one attempt, since a power disturbance can upset the control. If F5 returns, the ERC needs replacing.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- An ERC replacement has to be the correct version for the oven family and configured for single or double.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
