What F0 Means
On older Dacor ranges with the ERC clock control, the Epicure ERD and ERDE dual-fuel ranges, the Preference RSE, RSG and RSD, the Millennia MRE and MRES, and the EGR, ERG and PGR gas ranges, F0 is a shorted or jammed input device. It almost always points to the keypad membrane on the backguard.
Common Causes of F0
- Keypad membrane shorted by grease and heat
- Membrane cable damaged
- Short in the wiring behind the backguard
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Clean the backguard keypad, where grease from the burners collects, and dry it. Turn the breaker off for a minute and on again. A code that returns on a clean keypad means the membrane should be tested.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The ERC and membrane are in the backguard, which is removed to test the membrane at its connector.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
