What F5 Means
F5 on a classic Dacor range means the ERC failed its own self-diagnostic test. Dacor’s instruction is to replace the ERC.
Common Causes of F5
- ERC failure
- Power disturbance
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Try one breaker reset. If F5 returns, the ERC needs replacing.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The ERC must match the range family and fuel type; it is installed in the backguard.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
