What C-F2 Means
C-F2 on a Dacor wall oven means the main board lost contact with the touch control, the glass panel you operate. Keys may stop responding, or the display may show the code and nothing else.
Common Causes of C-F2
- Ribbon or harness connection to the touch panel loosened by heat cycles
- Moisture reaching the touch board after steam cooking
- Touch board or main board failure
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Follow Dacor’s restart steps: press OFF, restart, and if the code stays, cut power at the breaker for 30 seconds or more and restore it. Wiping condensation off the control glass after steam or self-clean cycles is sensible too, but beyond the power cycle there is nothing on the owner side of the panel.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The touch assembly is bonded behind the control glass; removing it without the right procedure risks cracking the glass.
- Deciding whether the touch board or the main board has failed needs both tested, since either end of the link can drop it.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
