Dacor’s cooking appliances display short F- and E-prefixed codes: F0 for a shorted or stuck touch input, F1 for the oven’s own watchdog catching a problem in the bake or broil circuit, E1 for a temperature reading that has drifted from the set point. A code names the circuit involved, not the exact part, so the suspect part is tested and confirmed to have failed before it appears on an estimate.
Refrigeration, dishwashing and the rest of the lineup are read against their own logic rather than assumed to share the cooking platform’s codes, since the same characters can mean different things on different appliance types. Several displays people call about are not errors at all – a demo mode, a door-ajar chime, a delay-start indicator – and we would rather settle that on the phone than charge for a visit you did not need.
