What C-30 Means
C-30 refers to the temperature sensor on the control board itself. Dacor’s manual lists it as the PCB sensor reading open or shorted while the oven operates. The board watches its own temperature so it can protect itself from the heat of the oven; when that reading makes no sense, it stops.
Common Causes of C-30
- Board-mounted thermistor failed
- Connector for the board sensor loosened
- Control board failure
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Do Dacor’s restart and 30-second breaker reset. Check that nothing blocks the cooling vent above or below the oven door. That is the full extent of what an owner can do for C-30.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- This sensor is part of the control board assembly, so the repair is board-level work inside the chassis.
- Without a working board sensor, the control cannot tell when its own electronics are overheating.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
