What C44 Means
C44 is the control board’s program-memory check: the calculated FLASH checksum does not match the stored one. In plain terms, the oven’s software is no longer intact, and the control stops rather than run it.
Common Causes of C44
- Program memory on the control board corrupted
- Control board failing
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
A single breaker reset is the only reasonable owner step. A C44 that returns needs a replacement control.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The software cannot be reloaded in the field; the board is replaced.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
