What F6 Means
F6 is an EEPROM checksum error. The ERC checks the sum of its stored program values at power-up and after each clean cycle; when the result no longer matches, it raises F6 and leaves only the clock and timer working.
Common Causes of F6
- ERC memory corrupted, often after a surge or a clean cycle
- ERC aging
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Do one breaker reset. If the oven still offers only the clock and timer, it needs a replacement ERC; Dacor’s sheet gives no other remedy.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The memory cannot be reprogrammed on site; the ERC is replaced.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
