What C-30 Means
C-30 means the temperature sensor on the main control board (the PBA NTC sensor, as the gas range manual calls it) is reading open or shorted. The range cannot judge whether its own electronics are overheating.
Common Causes of C-30
- Main board thermistor failure
- Heat stress on the main board
- Board connector problem
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the knobs to Off and restart; then the 30-second breaker reset if the code stays. Keep the vent at the back of the cooktop clear.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The main board sits behind the range’s control fascia or back panel; replacement needs the range pulled out.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
