What C-22 Means
C-22 appears on Dacor ranges, not on its wall ovens. It refers to the temperature sensor (NTC) on the sub or control board reading open or shorted while the oven runs. The range’s electronics sit close to the cooktop heat, so this board sensor matters more than on a wall oven.
Common Causes of C-22
- Board sensor failed
- Heat damage on the sub board from the cooktop area
- Connector loose
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the mode and temperature knobs to Off and restart. If it persists, cut power for at least 30 seconds and reconnect, per Dacor. There is no owner repair beyond that.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The board sensor is part of the board assembly; replacement is board-level work under the cooktop or behind the control panel.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
