What C-A2 Means
C-A2 on a Dacor range means the cooling motor is not running properly. The gas range manual simply says to check the cooling system. It is a call-for-service code in every Dacor range manual we read.
Common Causes of C-A2
- Cooling fan motor worn or seized
- Fan wiring loose
- Board output to the fan
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the oven off. The owner can only confirm the obvious: listen for the cooling fan after the oven has been on, and check that nothing blocks the vent. Then book the visit.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The cooling fan sits inside the range body; replacement requires moving the range and opening panels.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
