What C-10 Means
C-10 appears only on Dacor’s combination wall ovens, the DOC30 models with a speed (microwave-convection) oven on top. Dacor’s table says the cooking sensor in that upper oven read open or shorted while the microwave was operating. Other Dacor wall ovens do not use this code.
Common Causes of C-10
- Humidity or cooking sensor in the speed oven failing open or shorted
- Connector to that sensor disturbed or corroded by steam
- Control board input for the sensor failing
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press OFF, restart, and if C-10 returns, turn the breaker off for at least 30 seconds before powering up again. Run the upper oven in a plain mode afterwards; if the code reappears as soon as microwave power is used, leave the upper oven off until it is checked.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The speed oven contains a high-voltage microwave circuit that can hold a dangerous charge after the power is off.
- Microwave work also requires a leakage check after reassembly, which needs a meter made for it.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
