Dacor Range C-20 Error Code

C-20 on a Dacor range is the oven temperature sensor reading open or shorted while the oven is on. Dual-fuel, gas and induction DOP ranges all use it. On a 48-inch range, the technician identifies which cavity’s sensor is involved.

What C-20 Means

C-20 on a Dacor range is the oven temperature sensor reading open or shorted while the oven is on. Dual-fuel, gas and induction DOP ranges all use it. On a 48-inch range, the technician identifies which cavity’s sensor is involved.

Common Causes of C-20

  • Oven sensor failed from heat cycling
  • Sensor wiring damaged behind the oven back panel
  • Main board sensor input

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try

Turn the knobs to Off and restart the oven. If C-20 remains, do the 30-second breaker reset. With the oven cold, you can look at the sensor rod in the upper rear corner for obvious damage.

⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That

  • The sensor connector is reached from the back of the range, which means sliding a heavy range out and, on gas models, managing the gas line.

Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
