What 4C Means
4C is the water supply check on Dacor’s current dishwashers. The machine did not get the water it expected, and Dacor lists a closed supply valve, a suspended water supply, or a frozen or clogged inlet valve or line.
Common Causes of 4C
- Supply valve closed or partly closed
- Inlet valve screen clogged with sediment
- Supply line kinked or frozen
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check that the hot water shutoff under the sink is fully open and that other faucets have water. In winter, check for a line running along an exterior wall. Then restart the cycle. If 4C continues, contact service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The inlet valve is behind the lower kick panel; replacing it involves the water connection and wiring.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
